Barbaletta - The Intellectual ★free pattern★

Yarn:                Steinbach Julia, 1x 50g Orange
a bit of Yellow and Blue for the flowers
                          Green for the book
thin yarn in White for the pages of the book
Hook Size:      Nr. 3
Nr. 0,75 for the pages of the book

Abbrevations (US Terms)
V: increase (The letter V looks like the crochet symbol for increasing!)
A: decrease (The letter A nearly looks like the crochet symbol for decreasing!)
x6: repeat 6 times
ch: chain
ss: slip stitch
sc: single crochet
FLO: Front Loop Only

Notes
"  Crochet in continuous spiral rounds.
"  Use the invisible decrease (only the front loops of both stitches).
"  I always split my increases and decreases.
If there is an even number of stitches between the increases or decreases, for example (14, V) x6, - work 7, V, (14, V) x5, 7 instead.
Rows with an odd number of stitches between increases or decreases are worked as usual, for example (5, V) x6.
"  Stuff as you go.
"  You can use any yarn but use a smaller hook than suggested to avoid holes after filling.

Embroider mouth and a nose with black yarn. If you didn’t use wiggle-eyes with lashes, embroider lashes too.
Stuff the upper part of the arms slightly, flatten them and sew onto the body.

  1. I love your Babapapa's SO SO much, I think my book that I had as a child had Barbaletta translated as Barbalit if I remember correctly, she was the one I identified with most as I was always with a book too!

    1. Thank you very much! =))
I found out that some of them have totally new names now, but I used the ones which I knew from my own childhood! =) And in other languages sometimes they have another name, which sounds better in that language!
